Planet Fashion Show at the Miami Swim Week
One of the most attention-grabbing shows at the Miami Swim Week 2022 was the Planet Fashion runway show on Saturday, July 16th, 2022. Powered by Planet Fashion TV, the runway show featured Beau Swim, Lascana, and Naomi Besson swimwear collections. The show was held at Plymouth Miami Beach.
Planet Fashion TV is a syndicated HD series produced by Sea Stars Films Production Company. It’s about fashion, art, architecture, music, and luxury. The show at Miami Swim Week presented the collections from brands well-known in the swimwear industry and was live streamed on different platforms.
Highlights of Planet Fashion Miami Swim Week
Beau Swim
The show opened with the Beau Swim collection, a luxury sustainable swimwear brand founded by Samantha Jones. Based in California, the brand uses sustainable material called ECONYL, produced using oceanic waste and plastic bottles.
This collection featured mostly bikinis, including micro bikinis, in solid colors. The designs were contemporary, while the color palette was diverse, featuring basics like black, neutral shades, and some more vibrant hues.
Interestingly, the collection was dominated by women’s swimwear, with only two male models walking the runway in swim shorts.
There were a few swimsuits in the mix, again in solids. But these weren’t your average swimsuits; these were pretty stylish and exuded luxury, which is what the brand is best at.

Lascana
Animal prints, wired bikini tops, and hipster bikini bottoms dominated the Lascana collection. The show closed with an American flag bikini with the model waving the flag around. To make things fun, one model walked with a water bubble gun. Talk about bringing the beach to the runway!
On the backdrop screen, one could read the brand’s tagline, ‘It’s a Woman’s World.’ While the brand presented its swimwear collection, it’s not exclusively a swimwear brand per se. The European brand also makes apparel, shoes, lingerie, and accessories. So it’s a one-stop shop for women’s fashion, and hence the tagline!
The collection was more classic than innovative, as most pieces relived the timeless women’s swimwear trends. However, what we liked about this collection was the variety of swimwear. It wasn’t just all bikinis. There was something for everyone!

Naomi Besson
The Naomi Besson collection at Miami Swim Week (Planet Fashion) was glam meets swim. The brand’s very identity is glitzy swimwear that exudes luxury and glamour, and that’s what we got right off the bat as the first model walked with a shimmer black number.
Most swimwear pieces featured tiny design details like motifs or were styled with jewelry. It’s the kind of collection that makes swimwear the new party wear. You know those fancy pool parties where you’re mostly lounging around, sipping cocktails, dancing, and maybe dipping your toes in the water? Well, some of the pieces are perfect for that, we feel.
A few standout designs included one-piece swimsuits in a combination of neon and neutral colors and some sequin bikinis and one-pieces that were simply jaw-dropping.
The Planet Fashion show at Miami Swim Week was a definite winner for us, be it the collections, the venue, or the music.
